Dear Mr Secretary,

It has undoubtedly come to your attention that Mark Francis Brzezinski, United States Ambassador to Poland 2022-2025, will not be returning home following the conclusion of his mission to Poland on January 20, 2025. Mr Brzezinski, a dual citizen of the United States and Poland, has publicly announced his intention to remain in Poland indefinitely.

To shed some light on this unusual behaviour, would you be able to release a full list of USAID and State Department grants to entities operating in Poland recommended, approved, agreed to, allocated or disbursed by Mr Brzezinski and/or his subordinates during his tenure of office in Poland?

Mr Brzezinski's public behaviour while the US Ambassador to Poland has aroused a reasonable public suspicion that he may have sought to directly or indirectly influence the outcome of the Polish general election, held on 15 October 2023, to assist the ouster of the conservative Law and Justice (PiS) government – arguably the most pro-American Polish government in history, and the changeover to the authoritarian and increasingly anti-American liberal Civic Coalition (KO) government.
