Raport przyjęty

Przeważająca większość Parlamentu Europejskiego zaakceptowała raport o Europejskiej Polityce Sąsiedztwa. Daje on szanse, aby 1/3 pieniędzy, które Europa wydaje na ten cel, powędrowała do sześciu krajów byłego ZSRR (Ukraina, Mołdawia, Gruzja, Armenia, Azerbejdżan i Białoruś). Były jednak pomysły, aby ograniczyć to finansowanie ze względu na rewolucję w Północnej Afryce… W raporcie domagamy się m.in. ułatwień wizowych, częstszych wizyt w Unii Europejskiej lokalnych dziennikarzy, naukowców i elit.

W jednej sprawie Parlament się jednak podzielił i wygrali sceptycy. O perspektywie członkostwa mówi się niewyraźnie, a tak naprawdę "perspektywa europejska", o której mówi raport, ma poprawić nastrój przyszłych kandydatów. To porażka Polski, bo znakomita większość naszych posłów popierała odważniejsze sformułowanie. Niestety, nie daliśmy rady mobilizacji, którą zorganizowała niemiecka prawica.

Teraz do pracy przystępuje Komisja Europejska. Parlament, wraz ze swoim raportem, będzie uczestniczył w ostatecznym przeglądzie EPS, który znajdzie swój finał na szczycie w Warszawie, w czasie polskiej prezydencji.

Report accepted

The vast majority of the European Parliament accepted the report regarding European  Neighborhood  Policy - Eastern dimension . It gives a chance for 1/3 of money spent on this goal to go to the six countries of previous USSR (Ukraine, Moldavia, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Belarus). However, there were ideas that it should be limited due to the revolution happening in North Africa... In this report, we demand, among other things, facilitation of the visa achievement, more frequent visits of the local reporters, scientists and other elites etc. in the European Union.

There was, however, one instance in which the European Parliament has split up and the skeptical ones have won. When speaking of the possible membership, the ideas are vague, and in fact the "European perspective" mentioned in the report, is strictly meant to fix the candidates' mood. This is clearly a failure for Poland because almost all of our MEPs were supporting a more brave phrasing for this concern. Unfortunately, we were unable to compete with the Germany's right wing.

Now it's time for the European Commision to start its work. Parliament, alongside with its report, will take part in the final evaluation of the ENP East, which will take place during an event in Warsaw, for the Polish presidency.
