I'll stick to the language of the interview. It lasted for an hour and a quarter, or around 76'. After having listened for more than an hour, I'd conclude the whole affair went poorly. It was not clear who interviewed whom.
Ms. Weidel was laughing Kamala-style a tad too much. She did not grasp the gist of some of Mr. Musk's questions. Then, she mused a touch too much on the former Chancellor Adolf H., whom she called a 'communist'. Finally, she has shown her impossibility to draw any opinion on Israel.
Mr. Musk talked on end about how sustainable his human colony on the planet Mars will/must be to even start it; even in the first place. He finished his cosmic interplanetary ramblings by first citing and then interpreting Douglas Adams' Sci-Fi books.
All in all, I'd not suggest listening to this podcast/talk/whatever. It was mostly casual, in part personal, in part flat politics, in part utter gobbledygook.
However, there came a shining smidgen of fact about the German Regulations concerning Musk's Tesla factories having been built around Berlin. In order to begin construction, he needed a dedicated permit, which finally comprised twenty-five thousand pages, each one printed on paper, each one stamped thereafter by hand. This permit had to be printed in several copies so that it amounted to a truckload of paper.
What a waste of resources in the present times of computers and smartphones. Do we live in an electronic messaging and documenting era? Not in Germany, it seems.
Another interesting morsel of Musk's understanding of the world concerned applied physics. He said verbatim: 'physics is the law, all others are recommendations'. Well, OK.
